“When writing a fictional story, many times the work will take on its own life with small details going in surprising directions. As the writer I am not fully in control of the narrative. I love that! For the Ostensibly Minimal series it is similar. I'm determined to create something with LOTS of colors or depth. But - like ‘Gold On Black’ - the visuals hit my eye and the painting says 'it's finished'.
